Personality
Enthusiastic and not afraid to take charge when she needs to, Moxie’s a sweet girl with a heart of gold. Though she’ll never step down from a leadership role, she’s afraid of stepping on others’ toes and taking too much of the spotlight; as a result, she tends to sit back during group discussions, waiting for a lull in the conversation to add her own thoughts. She does most of her thinking out loud, able to detach herself from situations and view the facts objectively that way, and though there have been times when others (not her current group, don’t worry) have shot her down quite rudely, she’s usually able to brush it off and not care about what they think about her. Sometimes it gets to her, as it would anyone, but for the most part she’s able to recognize that they don’t know the whole story, and that if something helps her out, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.
Moxie tries her best to put on a persona of being calm and collected all the time, but it’s far from the truth. Though she’s not necessarily a control freak, she can get incredibly stressed if something goes wrong, to the point of growing so flustered she can’t even get a sentence out. On the contrary, she’s not easily embarrassed when it comes to herself, and is more than able to take a joke so long as it’s not poking fun at anything she can’t control. She’s quick to warm up to others, but not necessarily quick to trust, though she’d never let personal feelings get in the way of helping someone out. She feels an odd sense of devotion toward strangers, actually - quite an odd combination with her wariness towards newcomers - believing it’s up to her to welcome them fully and help them with whatever they need. This dedication extends to everyone, of course, especially her friends and family, and she always puts others’ needs before her own.
However, constantly focusing on everyone else around her can lead to Moxie ignoring her own needs and wants, and though she shrugs it off as unimportant, this self-neglect obviously has repercussions. It’s not that she’s out of tune with her emotions - she’s very well aware of how to manage them - but she has a tendency to forgo taking care of herself in favor of taking care of literally everybody else. Only once everyone has been helped to the greatest of her ability will she finally take the opportunity to help herself, but it’s always either that she’s too late and her own problems have increased insurmountably, or she never reaches that point to begin with - inevitably, someone else will develop a new problem, which she will then help them with… and then someone else has another problem. It’s a never-ending cycle, one which she’s perfectly aware of but powerless to stop - or so she says. It’ll take time for her to learn to balance her needs with her friends’, but in time, she’ll get the hang of it.
About
Moxie and her twin brother Damien have been best friends since the moment they were born. They’ve had their fair share of fights, as all siblings do, but for the most part they’ve pretty much always gotten along. Their parents were very supportive of the both of them in every way possible, and together, the four of them made the perfect family. When Moxie and Damien ended up in the Digital World for the first time and met their partners, they were quick to come to think of them as part of that family, too, even if they couldn’t tell their parents about them. They would often spend weekend vacations in the Digital World just to hang out with them, though this was only possible when their parents were away for the weekend as well.
As of current, Moxie lives in the Digital World with her brother and their partners. They’d already practically made it into their second home; now, it serves as their main one. She and her brother especially don’t like talking to anyone about why they’re here in the Digital World or when they’re going to go home, and tend to deflect whenever asked, though Moxie’s usually a bit kinder in doing so. The only thing that matters to her is that she, Damien, and their partners are safe; everything else can be pushed to the side for the time being.
