Personality

Kindhearted and compassionate, Harmony likes to find peaceful solutions to problems, the ideal outcome to her being a situation in which no one gets hurt. She uses her words rather than her fists, and though she likes to remain calm in arguments, she is not entirely opposed to raising her voice if she feels that whoever she’s arguing with deserves it. She’s got quite a soft spot for everyone around her, though, and warms up to others sooner than is typical, much to the confusion and sometimes irritation of her companions. She doesn’t let others’ perception of her weigh her down, though - or at least she tries her very best to hide it if she does. No use worrying about what they think of her; they’re going to think it anyways.

Her gentle nature hides a tougher side of her that she doesn't particularly like to show, but which will come out on its own if the need arises - Harmony is incredibly determined to do what she thinks is right, ignoring anyone who would try to stop her. Trying to debate with her is pointless; she’s unwavering in her beliefs and morals, and will stop at nothing once she’s put her mind to something. Harmony will do whatever it takes in order to protect her friends, and she considers almost everyone a friend. ...Well, she says she’d do anything, but in reality, she would never even consider physically harming someone.

The truth is, Harmony is scared of hurting people. She knows she can’t win everything with her words alone, but she doesn’t want to cause harm to anyone, no matter who they are or what they’ve done. She doesn’t like being vulnerable, either, afraid that opening up about her own problems will be too much of a burden for those around her. She hides these fears to the best of her ability, but in the heat of an argument sometimes things slip out - which she is never happy about, and she tends to shut down if she realizes she’s said more than she intended to. Those who spend enough time with her will come to realize that when she gets like this, the best course of action is to leave her alone - in due time, perhaps she will open up to them more.

About

A wild child at heart, Harmony has always been fascinated by the world around her. Her dad works as a wildlife conservationist, and her mother grew up on a farm and has a small garden in their backyard, so she’s always been able to spend as much time outside learning about wildlife as she’s wanted. Her two pet rabbits, Toast and Butter, are cared for entirely by her - her parents got Toast only with the caveat that Harmony be his sole caretaker, and she accepted wholeheartedly. During her research afterwards, she discovered that they’re social creatures, and Butter was quick to join the family when her parents saw how dedicated she was.

She’s especially close to her father and always goes to him for advice or help. The two of them have always been a force to be reckoned with, and they bond over their love for nature and animals. Out of her two parents, he’s also the one more connected to his Chinese heritage, and Harmony and her mother both love getting to share in it, since her mom was raised very Americanized and Harmony just likes getting to spend time with him. Harmony also loves both sides of her grandparents as well, and the entire family often gets together for giant dinner nights.
