Hot-headed and fiercely loyal to his friends, Ember is always ready for anything thrown his way. With an incredibly strong sense of justice and an innocent nature which lends him an air of immaturity, he often seems to not be as in control of situations as he actually is, but rest assured that most of the time he knows wrong from right, and that he’ll absolutely be able to achieve whatever it is he’s set his mind to! …Obviously, he can be a bit overdramatic. It’s endearing at the best of times, but worrying at the worst - he never knows when to call it quits, and he almost seems to think that running away or even just living to see another day is equivalent to “losing”, almost as if it’s all one big game to him.

Though it may seem blunt, Ember doesn’t really know when to shut up, and he voices his opinions and annoyances on whatever he wants, whenever he wants. Oftentimes he gets whiny or overly frustrated if things don’t go his way, and though it’s easy to write this off as just his youth, there are times when it gets to be more than that. Additionally, he has a tendency to completely throw caution to the wind, rushing into difficult situations without so much as a second thought. It comes from a place of goodwill - he always wants to do the right thing - but he never stops to think about whether jumping in guns blazing is the best solution. “Immature” may be a harsh word to describe him, and it’s certainly one he despises, but at times it’s the only way to explain just how ridiculous and sometimes irritating his behaviors are.

With youth comes rebellion, and Ember is no exception. He absolutely hates being told what to do, but this can be worked around by simply offering a suggestion. It’s not that he isn’t aware that it’s a loophole, he just likes that it gives him an option in the matter. Though he’s young, he’s not stupid, and he can see through others’ attempts to hide the truth from him with a startling accuracy. On top of this, he doesn’t always have the best understanding of personal space, and he pushes others even when they make it very clear they don’t want him to. He doesn’t mean to be intrusive, he just has a hard time understanding boundaries. Above all, he wants to do something good in the world, and though he doesn’t always go about it the right way, his determination and ambition is truly something to be applauded. Eventually he’ll get the hang of this whole “being a hero” thing.

About

Within a Primary Village deep in the Hinterlands, Ember hatched as a Botamon not that long ago. These days, he doesn’t remember much of his babyhood; he can’t remember many of the other Digimon in the village, nor who his caretaker was. All he remembers is that he was born to meet someone. He didn’t know who it was, or when he’d find them; all he knew was that one day, he would find them. When he evolved to Frimon, he set off with a couple of other Frimon from the village and traveled closer to the mountains. They came across other Frimon on their travels and joined with them, setting up a village with help from some nearby Digimon.

Some of the Frimon would eventually evolve, stick around for a while, and then set out on their own when they were confident enough in themselves. Ember longed for the day when he, too, would evolve, because then he’d be able to go find who he was waiting for, but he was content to remain in the village with his friends. That changed when, after a few years, a Digimon named Cyclomon began to arrive in the night, attacking the Frimon and wrecking their village. Ember was one of the few Frimon who were brave enough to stand against it, and though they couldn’t succeed, he was determined to protect his village. He never stopped trying, even when he knew he stood no chance against it. If he couldn’t protect them, who else would?
