There isn’t a soul in the world who’s more dedicated to their partner than Bumble is to his, and for his part, he is exceptionally so. Fiercely loyal to Damien, Bumble doesn’t think for himself very often, instead relying on his partner to let him know what to do and who to trust. He tends to go along with pretty much anyone who takes charge, really, unless they’re only doing so to be a jerk to Damien, in which case he’ll push back against them and (rightfully so) call them out. He’d follow his family to the edge of the world, and would do absolutely anything they ask of him, no matter what it may be. It’s not for the best all of the time, though; though it’s not entirely an unhealthy relationship, he definitely has issues with thinking for himself and acting on his own accord instead of just doing whatever he’s told to do.

Bumble can be sarcastic, but he’s very matter of fact in his speech - he speaks directly and honestly, and cares very little about how his words may impact others. More often than not, however, he remains silent, listening in to everyone else and maybe chipping in every now and then with a short quip, but he’s generally content to watch and listen, taking in everything to the best of his ability. He doesn’t give his opinion on important matters very often because most of the time, he doesn’t have one - following everyone else’s leads so closely has led to him never really taking the time to develop his own thoughts on matters at hand. Like his partner, however, he’s more than willing to share an opinion on something if he’s asked to, but it doesn’t happen often, partially due to the reputation he’s developed of being sort of aloof.

Closed off from those around him only by their choice, Bumble actually doesn’t mind being social, and is considerably so, especially when compared to his partner. Though he’s distrustful of complete strangers, if one of his friends welcomes a newcomer, he takes that as his cue to do so as well, and he’s actually pretty easy to talk to once you get past his bluntness and occasional snarkiness. Just don’t expect to be best friends with him immediately - it takes a long time for him to fully warm up to others, and he’s always ready for someone to betray him or his friends, or do them wrong in some other way. His protectiveness of his family can lead to him being very wary whenever someone else interacts with them, and he’s been known to purposefully disrupt conversations just to avoid anything bad happening, even if there haven’t been any hints towards things heading that way. He’s doing what he thinks is right, really, but his judgment isn’t always the best, and he has a hard time admitting when he’s wrong.

About

Bumble was born in File City’s Primary Village along with Pop. Even as babies, the two of them got along like, well, bees and honey. Bumble’s laconic nature and Pop’s persistent calmness work together surprisingly well, and they’re able to tell what the other is thinking without even having to ask. They’re not siblings - that’s not possible for Digimon - but they definitely see each other as such, though they’ve often bickered over which of them would be the older sibling, seeing as how Digimon don’t always age linearly. Bumble was the one who took it upon himself to find them a place to live once they evolved to rookies, though Pop always insists she was of the same mind.

He has never been put off by Damien’s slightly confusing atmosphere; if anything, he’s intrigued by it, though he’d never let it show. Neither of them are particularly social, nor willing to open up about how they’re feeling, but they get along comfortably, content in the silence that inevitably settles over them whenever they’re alone. Just as with Pop, Bumble doesn’t need to ask to know what Damien is feeling, and even though Damien isn’t always happy about that, it’s better than him being entirely closed off. Bumble is likewise not entirely pleased on the rare occasions that Damien manages to figure out what’s bothering him, but deep down, he’s grateful for their connection.
