Alpha is quiet and mainly keeps to himself, disliking small talk and finding most conversations difficult to navigate. Generally, he doesn’t care much for socialization, but when he has to work with a group, he’ll always pitch in his own thoughts when it comes to plan-building or decision-making. Standing by and letting everyone else figure things out on their own isn’t how he operates, and he feels a strange imperative to help anyone he comes across in need - it’s just who he is. Self-assured just like his partner, he knows exactly what he needs to do and how to do it, and anyone who tries to get in his way will be dealt with swiftly and efficiently. All is fair in war, after all, and as soon as someone attempts to stop him in his duty, all bets are off, and he’ll do whatever it takes to get around this new roadblock.

Stepping out of line and disobeying orders is nothing odd for Alpha, and he does so frequently - or at least when he deems it necessary. He has faith in his partner and trusts her decisions, but sometimes things change in the heat of the moment, leaving no room to be discussed, and he’s confident enough in his own decision-making to make snap judgments. He doesn’t comply with anyone’s orders, really, taking them more as suggestions than anything else. Deciding which orders to heed and which to disregard entirely comes naturally to him, and he can always make his own choices without things ending up too terribly. If there happens to be anyone else with him, however, he always makes it clear that he’s only disobeying because he knows what’s really right. He’s been through enough to make decisions that others simply can’t, and he’s going to make those decisions even if others disagree.

Though usually clear-headed in tough situations, there are times when things get too out of hand for even Alpha to handle, and that’s when he really loses his cool. He always takes it upon himself to see that justice prevails and wrongs are righted, but his dedication to this self-assigned duty can wind up with him feeling he has to help everyone, and he can get a little in over his head and end up biting off more than he can chew. With his tendency to shoulder every burden alone, he often ends up struggling alone silently, refusing to ask anyone for help. It’s not out of pride that he believes they have to deal with all his issues on his own, but simply dedication. He knows he can take care of himself, and so he’s going to, even if someone else is slightly more equipped to handle the situation than him. It’s hard for him to realize that he’s not always the only one in the room who can help himself, even when others say this directly to his face, and it seems like he’ll always have some self-imposed diligence toward taking care of his problems without anyone else’s help - even his partner’s.

In his youth, Alpha did not think he would ever do anything good with his life. It wasn’t that he was pessimistic, or believed that he didn’t matter; he just didn’t imagine that he would ever be someone amazing. It probably didn’t help that he wasn’t very close to anyone in the Primary Village he was hatched in, not even his Gazimon caretaker. She tried her best to get him to open up, but he wasn’t able to form attachments easily, and eventually she left him be. When he evolved into Tsunomon, he went off on his own. He wouldn’t find a purpose in the village; he had to leave and see if he would ever amount to anything. He wasn’t holding out hope.

But when he found Quinn in Native Forest one day, everything changed. He’d never thought he would ever meet a human, certainly not in the Digital World, but when their eyes met, something clicked into place for him. It was the feeling of finding someone you didn’t know you were looking for. Alpha knew, in that moment, that Quinn was his purpose. He didn’t know exactly what that purpose was yet, or why he’d met her, or what was going to happen, but he knew that he’d always have her, and that they were going to do something great together. He just knew it.
